$26.54
Incredible bulk estate collection lot of fourteen pieces of vintage retro 1970s and 1980s tourist souvenir ephemera, celebrating iconic landmarks and holiday destinations across Queensland, Australia. This nostalgic Australiana set features a fantastic mix of unposted greeting card envelopes, scenic postcards, and long accordion-style concertina panoramic lettercard mailers. The regional geographic coverage includes multiple views of Brisbane city as the Sunshine State Capital, coastal holiday scenes from Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast, vintage rides at Sea World Surfers Paradise, Tipplers Island Resort on South Stradbroke Island, the Glasshouse Mountains, and a highly collectible racing tribute card honoring the legendary champion horse Gunsynd, the Goondiwindi Grey. The multi-photo fold-out strips display historic cityscapes, vintage cars, retro swimwear fashion, and classic local tourism styling.
The entire fourteen-piece collection is in excellent pre-owned vintage condition and has been remarkably well-preserved as unplayed, unposted store stock over the decades. The card stocks maintain crisp structural stiffness with perfectly sharp corners and clean, straight edges. The fold-out panoramic panels remain completely joined at their original factory perforation lines without splitting or tearing. The graphic transfers are beautifully bright, colorful, and free from fading, surface scratches, or ink scuffing. The reverse matte writing surfaces and integrated envelope backing pockets are pristine, totally free from postal ink cancellations, handwritten messages, or yellow foxing stains. This bulk lot will be carefully packed flat with structural cardboard stabilizers to ensure a flawless journey.
