Vtg Chinese Lanzhou Carved Gourd Great Wall Calligraphy Folk Art Mini:
$35.00
This item is an exquisite vintage Chinese Lanzhou micro-carved folk art gourd (Lanzhou Ke Hulu) featuring a highly detailed, hand-engraved panoramic landscape. The intricate micro-scrimshaw artwork beautifully depicts the iconic winding Great Wall of China (Chángchéng) traversing rolling mountain ridges alongside a fortified watchtower. Accented with fine, traditional semi-cursive Chinese calligraphy that reads "长城" (The Great Wall) and finished with a geometric circular border on top, the piece showcases the traditional ink-rubbed needle engraving technique unique to Gansu province artisans. With its exceptionally crisp linework, deep contrast, and excellent preservation, this miniature collectible gourd is a remarkably technical accent piece for any collection of Asian antiquities, micro-art, or oriental decor.
