Vtg Emil Helbig German Carved Wood Christmas Sleigh East Germany Expertic AS IS:
$34.99
This authentic vintage Erzgebirge German folk art Christmas sled was handcrafted by the esteemed Schnitzerei Emil Helbig workshop during the Cold War era (circa 1970s–1980s), featuring the original purple "Made in East Germany" stamp and the square foil Expertic export label on the bottom of the base. This highly collectible piece showcases the workshop's signature flat-knife carving style and vibrant matte hand-painting, which remains in exceptionally clean condition with minimal surface wear and no major paint loss. Please note that the reindeer's left antler is completely missing (the right multi-point antler remains fully intact), which is a common flaw for these fragile miniatures and is reflected in the discounted pricing. Aside from this structural flaw, the miniature toy cargo remains tightly secured, the red thread reins are complete, and the overall paint detailing is remarkably crisp, making it an excellent, character-filled display piece for any vintage German holiday collector.
Please read description and review all photos for your best idea of condition.
