Vintage Kashmiri Hand Painted Papier Mache Wood 13” Scalloped Millefleur Floral Decorative Bowl
Up for sale is a beautiful vintage Kashmiri decorative bowl featuring an exceptionally intricate hand-painted Millefleur floral design. Measuring approximately 13” across, this impressive piece showcases the traditional artistry of Kashmir, India, known for its elaborate papier-mâché lacquerware and richly detailed floral decorations.
The bowl features a distinctive 12-point scalloped rim with a gracefully curved, multi-tiered design. The entire interior is covered in an elaborate Thousand Flowers pattern, featuring vibrant orange-red poppies, yellow blossoms, delicate green foliage, and intertwining golden vines against a richly decorated background.
The reverse is finished in glossy black lacquer with a delicate green and gold floral vine border surrounding the underside rim. A raised footring provides an attractive finishing detail.
