WWI French 75mm Trench Art Vase 1918 Verdun Brass Shell Casing 13":
$125.00
Original WWI French 75mm field gun brass shell casing, reworked as a trench art vase with a scalloped, flower-like mouth. Engraved "VERDUN" band on the body. Base stamps are partly worn: they appear to read "75 UE 3", "FRE 25" and "18", consistent with a French 75mm casing dated 1918 - please study the photos, as the stamps are worn and we cannot be certain of every character. About 13 inches tall to the tallest scallop point (full length, not cut down); about 3.4 inches across the base. Green patina inside, age wear outside; the scallop points are slightly bent in. In the same family's home for 25+ years. Case is empty, with no projectile. Primer tube is visibly open from the inside (see photos), and a firing-pin dimple is visible on the primer. Sold as a decorative relic only. Ships within the US only. Please review all photos before buying. All sales final.
