WWI RPPC Postcard U.S. Soldiers Group Portrait Army Uniform Unposted:
$17.96
Original WWI-era real photo postcard (RPPC) showing three U.S. soldiers in uniform posed in a studio portrait setting (one seated, two standing). This is a strong piece of WWI military ephemera and a great research candidate for collectors.
Uniform / insignia notes (carefully stated)Rank: No clear rank chevrons are visible on the upper sleeves in the photos; the men appear to be enlisted rather than officers (officers typically show shoulder/insignia differences).
Service/overseas marking: One soldier appears to have a lower-sleeve overseas/service chevron consistent with WWI-era overseas service markers; these were used to denote overseas time and were awarded in 6-month increments.
Shoulder patch: The visible “A” within a circular design resembles the Third Army / Army of Occupation style insignia (often described as an “A” inside an “O” for “Army of Occupation”). This is consistent with late/post-WWI occupation forces context, but I am listing it conservatively as “patch visible” and “resembles” rather than a definitive unit ID.
You will receive the exact photo postcard pictured.
