Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Leather is soft and supple with no cracking or dry rot. Chamois lining is clean with clear AAF ink stamp and original Fox Chase Knitting Mills spec tag intact. Electronics are visually complete with authentic Western Electric ANB-H-1 receivers and PL-354 plug. Up for sale/sale is a beautifully preserved, original WWII US Army Air Forces (USAAF) Type A-11 Intermediate Leather Flying Helmet.
This helmet comes completely wired with its premium, period-correct avionics setup. It features a matched pair of authentic Western Electric ANB-H-1 radio receivers (clearly stamped on the caps) housed in the original black rubber ear cups, an internal wiring loom, and the correct short pigtail communication cord terminating in a red PL-354 jack.

The internal chamois lining is clean with minimal wear, and the yellow foam ear cushions remain fully intact without crumbling. The Western Electric electronics and wiring are visually pristine with no fraying, though they are sold strictly untested as a historical collectible.
