An exceptional piece of early American legal history — a complete, original auditor's citation and report from the Chittenden County Court, State of Vermont, dated 1841. This multi-section document records a civil action on book account between plaintiff Henry B. Hine (represented by attorney H. Leavenworth) and defendant Antoine Mossie (represented by J. Marsh & Wm. Parsons).
