AT&T Advertising Items From 1980's But NEW Salesman Samples - 8 Different Gifts:
$35.00

I own an advertising specialty company - now in our 47th year I am happy to report - and worked in the industry for many years prior to establishing my own firm. For many years my best client was what was formerly known as "The Bell System". Of course after divestiture, it was broken up into what was generally called the "Baby Bells" - and later morphed into many variations. So over the years we worked very closely with Western Electric, AT&T, Southern Bell, BellSouth, Lucent Technologies, OFS, Avaya, etc. I collected many over-run samples, one-or-a-kind spec samples, and the likes.I am now selling much of that collection via . Here is a collection of eight different over-run salesman samples from orders we sold to AT&T in the 1980's. Although around 40 years old, all are in AS NEW condition, and none ever used. They have been kept in a closed container in one of our climate controlled sample rooms for all of these years.
And here is what the fortunate buyer will receive:A. We sold AT&T many bags of various designs, but to me, this was one of the best and most creative. It is a folding duffle bag. Closed the size is 12" x 9" x 1". But opened and expanded, the size is a very useful size 20" x 12" x 9.5". Features include zipper side pocket, Velcro side pocket, zipper front pocket, zipper top closure, and adjustable and comfortable shoulder strap with metal findings. The material is a very heavy material with reinforced mesh at stress points. Very well designed for sure.B. Every year, AT&T supported The United Way. For the 1984-85 campaign, the chairperson that year wanted to give coordinators a special and personal gift. She chose this handsome acrylic paperweight. The two pieces of acrylic separate, and we inserted a personal note of thanks from the chairperson. It was made in the U.S.A.C. A functional safety gift was this "SunTamer" auto accessory. It is a tinted soft vinyl visor to cover spots your regular visor can not reach. It clings to any window, and is washable when needed. The size is 11.5" x 5.25", but rolls up for easy storage in your glove compartment. Not only is it useful in daylight hours, but at night, place it on the drivers window and it facilitates seeing lights from the vehicle behind you. Stamped in gold is the AT&T Network Systems logo with the tag line..."The Future...Making It Happen".D. We also sold AT&T various tote bags. Here is one in plastic, size 10" x 12" x 4", with snap closure handle. This useful bag is double wall for added strength, and our company name printed in the gusset.E. We were fortunate to supply an assortment of gifts for frequent golf outings. Here is an over-run tee and marker pack. Included are four individually imprinted tees plus logo marker - all in handy kit form.F. Here is a cute and functional piece - a clock - key tag. One side had the two color AT&T logo / the other a clock - and it still works after all of these years. i included a new button battery, and you are good to go. Plus, the clock can be easily separated from the keys when desired.G. A 7" AT&T plastic ruler - made in the U.S.A.H. Top action feed AT&T mechanical pencil in burgundy with logo in grey. This was a rare color combination as most writing instruments we sold them were white or blue with contrasting logo.
An excellent addition to anyone who worked at AT&T or collects old Bell System memorabilia. A very rare collection find for sure, especially in NEW condition!
