I own an advertising specialty company - now in our 46th year I am happy to report - and I worked in the industry for many years prior to establishing my own firm. For a long time my best client was what was formerly known as "The Bell System". Of course after divestiture it was broken up into what was generally called the "Baby Bells" - and later morphed into many variations. So over the years we worked very closely with Western Electric, AT&T, Southern Bell, Bellsouth, Bell South International, Lucent Technologies, OFS, Avaya, etc. I collected many over-run samples, one-of-a-kind spec samples, and the likes.I am now selling much of that collection via . Here is an unusual collection of 7 different AT&T logoed pens from the 1980's and 1990's. These are over-run samples from actual orders we sold AT&T way back then. And actually, these 7 pens are only a small example of the many and various pens we sold to them.
Details:A. The flat blue pen with the AT&T logo in white is a bit unusual. It was called "The Flipper Pen". As you can see from my open an closed photos, it flipped to expose the point. It was manufactured in the U.S.A.!!!
B. The matte finish silver features a very large AT&T logo. Also U.S.A. made.
C. The black sample has the AT&T logo in silver foil for bright contrast. U.S.A. as well.
D. There are two "combo" pens - A long and a short style. On each one end has a yellow highlighter, and the other end a pen. Both have silver barrels. The shorter one we sold to AT&T Florida Installation Services. The longer one only has the logo in blue. Both U.S.A. made.
E. I saved the last two to point out because both are unusual -1. The white one is by Ritepoint / Chromatic Pen Company. The metal barrel twist to write in either blue or red. Another thing that makes this sample somewhat unique it the imprint. We had sold AT&T Communications this pen, but wanted to sell it to other locations. We had Ritepoint make about 100 examples for us to mail to different Communications facilities in the hope of securing an order. Ritepoint agreed to do so provided the copy would also include their information - and it does. U.S.A. made too.
2. And the final sample, the one in black and in factory cello wrapper is interesting in that it is imprinted with an incorrect logo! At the time, AT&T had three different size logos and a positive and negative version of each. The difference was that the lines in the "Globe" was either 8, 10 or 12, depending upon the imprint size. With each version, the highlight in the upper left corner of the "Globe" was to always be the lightest shade. With this order I inadvertently sent the supplier the wrong piece of art. I sent art for when the logo would be printed on a light color background - not this black background. AT&T would not accept them, and we had to re-run the order. This is one of the pens that we had to "buy back". A quite rare AT&T logoed pen for sure! This pen too was made in America.
It is interesting that all of these pens are made in the U.S.A.
So here is your opportunity to get seven different AT&T old but NEW pens, and at a very low price. Although old, they have been stored in a sealed container in one of our climate controlled sample rooms for all of these years. Of course, as these contain the original refills, if used rather than displayed, new refills are needed. All will ship immediately and be well packaged to insure safe delivery.
Although these items are from the 1980's & '90's, as mentioned, they have never been used. The finishes are fantastic!
An excellent addition to anyone who worked at AT&T or collects old Bell System memorabilia. A very rare find for sure.

From a smoke-free, pet-free, climate controlled environment.
