A Cloud Wave tsuba gives this black katana a sense of movement, set between Japanese cotton ito and a black lacquered saya. The blade is hand-forged 1095 high carbon steel, clay tempered to 60–62 HRC at the edge for strong edge retention, with a bo-hi on each side. It arrives sharp, with a signed and numbered full tang, fully disassemblable fittings and a certificate of authenticity.

Why Collectors Choose This Sword

• Hand-forged 1095 high carbon steel, clay tempered. 60–62 HRC at the edge holds a hand-sharpened edge well; a tougher 42–48 HRC spine absorbs shock. A bo-hi (fuller) runs along each side.
• Signed full tang, fully disassemblable. The tang runs the full length of the handle and is engraved with the smith's signature and a unique number. The sword can be taken apart for cleaning and reassembled. A certificate of authenticity is included.
• Traditional tsuka. Genuine rayskin (same), a Japanese cotton ito wrap and metal menuki — a secure, classic grip.
• Cloud Wave tsuba. A guard worked in a flowing cloud-and-wave design.
• Black lacquered saya. Care and Use

Suited to light cutting practice such as rolled tatami omote, soft mats and water-filled bottles, where permitted by local law. Not intended for hard targets such as metal, stone or seasoned hardwood. The blade can rust if left wet: wipe it dry after handling and apply a light coat of sword oil before storing.
