Vintage French Art Deco Enameled Glass Vase – Orange & Black Floral Motif 1920
Beautiful Authentic French Art Deco enameled glass vase dating from the 1920s to 1930s. This stunning piece features a vibrant, glossy orange-red enameled shoulder accented by crisp black trim bands. The body displays a beautifully detailed, hand-painted floral medallion featuring stylized roses and orange blossoms inside a delicate black oval cartouche.
This style, shape, and enameled technique are strongly attributed to the famous JOMA glassware company founded by Joseph Bourdieu and Max Durand in Montreuil, France. Like many department store distribution pieces from this era, it is unsigned, but the craftsmanship is a quintessential example of French interwar Art Deco design.
• Dimensions: Approximately 8 inches tall by 5 inches wide at the shoulder.
• Material: Blown clear glass with hot/cold applied enamels.
• Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor, expected age-related wear to the surface enamel, but colors remain bright and beautiful.
This elegant vase makes a perfect statement centerpiece or addition to any collection of European art glass, Art Deco, or bohemian decor!
