Vintage Purdy Boston Girl Bench Portrait Cabinet Card Photo 4x6 Sepia Original:
$12.92
Original antique sepia-tone gelatin-silver cabinet card photograph featuring a young girl posed for a studio portrait by Purdy of Boston.
The composition shows the child seated sideways on a dark wooden bench placed on a patterned cushion, wearing a long white dress with lace trim, dark stockings, buttoned boots, and ribboned curls, with a softly painted backdrop creating a strong children, portrait, and social history image suited to family, costume, and vernacular photography collections.
Printed in warm sepia tones on photographic paper and mounted within a beveled window on a textured gray studio card, the piece carries along the lower margin a printed imprint reading Purdy 146 Tremont St. Boston together with the series title "The Oxford," emphasizing its New England studio and early twentieth-century interest.
The cabinet card mount offers broad borders around the central image for album, scrapbook, or framed display, and any rulers, sticky notes, or other props shown in the listing photos are not included.
