Vintage Purdy Boston Girl Portrait Cabinet Card Photo 5x7 Sepia Original:
$12.92
Original antique sepia gelatin-silver cabinet card photograph featuring a formal studio portrait of a young girl in a long white dress seated sideways on a wooden bench.
The composition presents a three-quarter length view of the child resting one arm on the curved bench arm while her feet rest on a patterned cushion, her curled hair tied with bows and the softly mottled backdrop creating a genteel early-twentieth-century domestic and portrait scene suited to people, childhood, costume, and social history collections.
Printed on glossy photographic paper and mounted to its original dark textured card with an impressed rectangular border, the lower margin carrying the printed title THE BALTIC at left and the photographer imprint Purdy 146 Tremont St. Boston at right; the card is shown in some images on a decorative metal display stand, which is used for photography only and is not included.
Actual Measurements: 5 in x 7 in.
