ZIPPO 1979 "UNITED SATES AUTO CLUB" VINTAGE LIGHTER -NO BOX OR PAPERS:
$42.50
ZIPPO 1979 "UNITED SATES AUTO CLUB" VINTAGE LIGHTER.This item is a used 1979 ZIPPO Lighter from the "UNITED STATES AUTO CLUB". The USAA was founded in 1955.The front side of the lighter has the etched "USAA" logo in the center, with the words "United States Auto Club" in the logo. The reverse side is blank. This 47-year-old used lighter shows age with some light surface marks, scratches and surface wear and small dings in the top and bottom. The hinge seems slightly misaligned which offsets the top and bottom. The wick is discolored, but it does have the distinctive ZIPPO click. The red, white and blue colors are partially faded. I am selling it as used and "as is condition" in case there is something I didn't see. I have never fired this lighter since I purchased it over 40 years ago. I cannot attest to the previous owner, but it has been previously fired. The bottom has 1 slash to the left of ZIPPO and 2 slashes tp the right indicating the outer case is from 1979.No box or paperwork with this lighter. I am selling it as is. This is a used Zippo lighter with some light imperfections but still a nice addition to any Zippo collection. Please consider the photos as part of the description. My photography skills keep showing a shadow on the lighter which is not there. All of my lighters have been stored in Ryker display cases for almost 40 years.Related Items:
