Up for sale are two advertisements that were removed from a 1953 pubication commemorating Kennebunkport's 300th anniversary of its founding in 1653, featuring businesses in southern coastal Maine, particularly Kennebunkport, Kennebunk Beach, Ogunquit, Cape Porpoise, and more.
One of the ads listed here is for Southern Maine Motors, who was celebrating their 50th anniversary as a Ford Motor Company dealer. On the back of the ad, "1953" is written in pencil.The ad measures about 4 1/4 x 6 1/4".
The other ad is for the Morrison's Taxi, which shows one of their taxis next to two oxen. This photo for the ad was courtesy of Roger S. Bragdon and the Maine Publicity Bureau. This ad measures about 2 1/2 x 6".
Both of these ads are in very good to excellent shape, perfect for framing!
