This antique wooden cigar box is a rare find for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Stamped with the Napoleon brand, this item is a piece of history that dates back to 1909 according to the stamp wrap. The inside of the lid presents a stunning and vibrant image of Napoleon surrounded by troops in good spirits. The box was manufactured by Powell & Goldstein in Oneida, New York. The box is unique in the way that the image portrayed on the bottom of the inside of the box is the manufacturer’s victory in a court decision giving them the rights to the brand name “Napoleon”. It is depicted by an officer pointing to a document where the result of the case is displayed, adding a bit of character to the piece. The rest of the box is heavily branded with the name on each side. In terms of damage there isn’t much considering the age. The box is still fully in tact with the top opening and closing on a hinge still connected to the main piece.
