Authentic White House Telephone Presidential Residence West Wing

This is an authentic white house telephone which was removed from the White House in the early to mid 1980s. The phone is manufactured by American electric and is a Starlight model. The Starlight model was considered a fancy phone in it's day. Because of this these phones were only used in the upstairs residents which was reserved for the President, they were also used in some of the West Wing offices.

This is a very rare version of the White House phones which does not come on the market very often.

This Starlight model was first manufactured in 1960 however, the date stamp on the back of the phone has rubbed off so it is not possible to date the phone. The phone is in good condition. It does show some discoloration and some mild staining.

The dial on the phone get stuck when you attempt to dial a number, I have not tested the phone so I do not know if it is functional.
