This1951 comic tells the story of the first manned landing and discovery of life onthe moon by Major Inapak and a stow-away boy in 1984. The moon-landing eventtakes place just as aliens from the planet Lunrak are planning the destructionof Earth. The very end of the comic features a 3-page science lesson thatpromotes the virtues of the INAPAK. Startlingly, the benefits not only includedstrong bones and clear skin, but “good red blood” and “steady nerves.” Yes,they were serious.
Inthe far-off future year of 1982, a stowaway child helps Major Inapak defendEarth from an alien planet cleverly hidden behind Earth\'s moon.
Story (Spoilers!)
The Master Rocketeer relates a story to children. In1982, just as the East and West blocs were about to attack each other fromspace, Earth was threatened from the Moon. Robin stowed away in a repurposedattack rocket in which Major Inapak was sent to investigate. They found theEarth under attack from a previously unknown planet, hidden behind the Moon.With the help of a friendly lunar creature, they reversed the planet-destroyingweapon, wiping out the attackers, and returned to Earth.
