Original full-page General Motors ad promoting its Body by Fisher automobile coachbuilding emblem, with a handsome illustration by pin-up artist McClelland Barclay, printed more than 84 years ago.McClelland Barclay was a noted artist and commercial illustrator who created the "Fisher Body Girl" for a series of advertisements for General Motors. He used his 19-year-old wife as the model for the iconic Fisher Body image, which appeared not only in magazine advertisements but also on countless billboards across the country.This ad measures 10" x 7" and includes a list of General Motors marques: Cadillac, LaSalle, Buick, Viking, Oakland, Marquette, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and Chevrolet.
