Up for sale is a very rare antique 17th century handmade lidded German family urn.It\'s made of very thick pewter with a gorgeous silhouette and has acquired a lovely patina from age.It has a removable lid that sits recessed into the base and topped with a detailed figural finial of a knight holding a flag.The urn is engraved by hand wrapping the belly and embellished with handmade hanging medallions of passed family members dating from 1672-1828.They are all hand cut,tooled, and engraved and hang from lion mounts done in high relief.It\'s in nice condition and measure 23 1/4 inches tall by 6 1/2 inches wide.There was a drilled hole in the bottom as we think it was mounted as a lamp at one point.Thank you for visiting \"Dusty Treasures \" and please feel free to browse through
