The Old Masters series was a group of ornaments manufactured by Corning Glass in the 1970s featuring the art of classic paintings. This ornament pictures the "Madonna della Segiola" by Raphael the originalof which hangs in the Palatine Gallery in Florence Italy.In the first half of the 20th C. Corning adapted their light bulb machinery to blow Christmas ornaments. Most were retailed under the Shiny Brite label. In the mid 1970s and 1980s, Corning marketed several designs under their own label.This item has not been hung on a tree but only displayed in its dome or stored in a temperature controlled environment. Original box included as shown. Shipping from Maryland, USA.
