Rare Dwarf Blanc de Chine figurine. White Capodimonte Gnome Type Figurines Dwarfs GINORI 1896-1925 figurine has the Ginori mark that Capodimonte used between 1896 and 1925. It is all white, in mint condition, and measures approximately 4\" tall. It is marked in blue, Ginori with the Capodimonte N with Crown mark. This porcelain figures were produced in Italy by Ginori.
The figure is well modeled with lots of detail, a little on the \"grotesque\" side with exaggerated features. A funny little character with personality. This porcelain figurine from Italy features a man dwarf holding his brimmed hat behind his back. An interesting and rare Richard Ginori dwarf figurine in the style of the Derby mansion dwarf.
These figurines were inspired by the engravings of Jacque Callot, who lived from 1592-1635. They are called the Mansion House dwarfs which were modeled after the dwarfs employed at the Mansion House in the city of London. They carried advertising.
