Andrew Bynum and the Los Angeles Lakers just won the 2009 NBA Championship. A lot of people in LA are driving around with Lakers flags sticking out of their cars, Bynum took it to the next level. He went to Platinum Motorsports in LA to customize his Challenger into the ultimate Laker car.
The car is painted purple with gold racing stripes. They wheels are painted purple with gold trim and pinstripe. The colors might get most of the attention but this is one bad ass car for a completely different reason.
They have cut up this car and made it a wide body. He actually fit 24×14″ Forgiatos in the rear with an 8″ lip! Only negative I can see is the blacked out tail lights are a little too much and doesn’t match the rest of the car.

Andrew Bynum - Wide Body Dodge Challenger SRT8 ,
I was really into the Challengers at first, but am not a fan anymore because of the quality. The interior is mostly plastic, the software is causing lots of problems, and the SRT8, being their top car, doesn’t have enough car for the price. I’m not a fan of hood stripes, cause that has been played out for so long. The front grille is cheap plastic, and has to be replaced with a billet grille. The emblems around the car, including the hood badge of the goat head, are all cheap plastic that corrode over after a little while. The suspension sits way too high, the lower air dam (fascia) is cheap plastic and will crack, same with the hood vents and the plastic around the bottom trim below the doors. These cars didn’t even come with door sills, even that was an option. You have to buy an air-intake, you have to upgrade the exhaust too because it’s weak, and to get the car running smoothly with all it’s computer problems, you have to get a Predator Diablosport Tuner to get the car efficient. In order to get a Challenger to be a nice car, it’s gonna take a lot of work. In two years the SRT8 will be selling for around 25K used, and in my opinion still isn’t worth it. People make the argument you don’t buy a Challenger for options or looks, but I make the argument that in my case, I think I deserve more out of an automobile. The Challenger is my favorite looks wise, out of any domestic car being produced, and it’s Hemi sounds amazing with some upgrades like a cam, SLP headers and SLP Loudmouth exhaust, and the car is capable of some serious power, but it’s not cheap because you have to add so much shit to it. It takes a lot of time and research. I think this dude could have made a better choice with this car by adding a supercharger, a billet grille, removing the plastic emblems and filling the divots and painting over them, or replacing them with custom badges that match the metal finish of the rest of the car, working on the exhaust, or he could have chosen a different ride altogether. When I see Challengers with weird paint jobs, I think about how it’s like a torn up ass bitch with a lot of make-up on. Underneath all that make-up, is just an average car. It shows you what kind of chicks Bynum has been pulling.
