--Titled, “Artist’s Proofs Six Remington Paintings in Color,” this large portfolio contained 6 Chromolithographs of famous Remington Western Americana Paintings. includes, "The Bell Mare", "The Emigrants", "Trailing Texas Cattle", "An Argument with the Town Marshall", The Buffalo Runners", "Pony Tracks in the Buffalo Trail"
--the prints have edge wear as shown, but the images are great and would frame up very nicely, the portfolio is worn as shown, and is in two parts -- i believe this came out in 1906. so cool
--Frederic Remington (1861-1909) received his formal education at Yale's School of Fine Art, but his real education came later, as the aspiring artist traveled widely in the West. He was a prospector andwrangler while working to establish himself with his illustrations. Reproductions in Harper's Weekly and other popular journals ultimately made him a household name, and with his success he was able to turn more to painting and sculpture. Remington continued traveling during his later years,even using his art and writing talents to cover the Spanish-American Waras awar correspondent.
