Beautiful antique Indian handmade round box. Hand-hammered copper and hammered intricate designs imprinted especially on the lid. Very detailed striations and designs hammered into the lid creating raised and depressed shapes. The entire piece is hand painted with a rich and deep pigmented red and orange.The body is decorated with repeated scenes of men, women and animals. There is a large, crude hinge on back, and a similar latch on the front.
This is believed to be made in India. There is a wonderful patina and it is nicely aged. Exact age and origin are not known.
This is a beautiful statement piece waiting for the right owner!
